What I Eat In A Day

One question I get asked all the time is how I prepare meals and what I eat most days. I wanted to share with you all the meal plan I follow when preparing for a big photo shoot or modeling job. It has some annoying restrictions (no alcohol!) but overall it is all about establishing a healthy meal plan that is high in protein and fiber and low on carbs and sugar.

Another key part of this meal plan is eating 5 meals a day, spaced about 3 hours apart. Here is what a typical day of meals looks like for me:

Breakfast

I will usually start my morning off with eggs, avocado, turkey bacon, and GG crackers. The crackers are super high in fiber, and this meal gives me the energy to begin my day right.

First Snack

For a little pick-me-up, I will snack on a quarter cup of nuts mid-morning. It’s a simple snack that fills me up, and is also super easy for when you are on the go!

Lunch

One of my favorite things to make is pan roasted chicken (seasoned with delicious Cajun seasoning, of course) with roasted vegetables like broccolini, brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. I’ll also create a bed of steamed spinach as the base for everything.

Pan-roasted recipes like this one are great because you can cook multiple servings and save for the week!

Second Snack

Green apples are another one of my favorite snacks, and also easy to eat even when you are on the road.

Dinner

You’ll notice that all the main meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) follow a fairly easy formula of protein + vegetables. For dinner, I’ll often cook a honey and garlic salmon and pair with roasted vegetables and quinoa. So delicious and easy to make!
